After graduating from the University in Arizona with a Fine Arts Degree, I spent 2 years wandering aimlessly trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Sound familiar at all?
Director, Healing Arts Center at Cavallo Point, Sausalito, California
With a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Arizona Jenny began her career in Health and Wellness by following an interest in body work and enrolling in a certified massage therapist program at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts. She eventually took a position at Canyon Ranch as a Massage Therapist while completing her Masters in Art Therapy writing her thesis on “Using Photography as a Therapeutic Tool in Working with Women and Body Image”.
After 6 years as a massage therapist, Jenny was asked to be a part of the opening team for the Canyon Ranch SpaClub at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas where she served as the Treatment Manager overseeing a team of over 70 spa therapists. She left the SpaClub to work with Decleor to develop a new spa concept named Spa Mosaic, which won the Nouvelle Esthetique Award in 2002 for best new innovative product.
Jenny has traveled the world as a leader in spa training and management. She has opened and operated properties such as Plateau at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, the Avania Spa at the Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch, the Amara Spa at the Park Hyatt Dubai and Spa Mystique at the Hyatt Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
Jenny is the opening Spa Director at the Healing Arts Center at Cavallo Point – the Lodge at the Golden Gate, a picturesque hotel in Sausalito, California. She developed the Center’s concept and message; Return to Basics, Return to Nature, Return to Self. At the Healing Arts Center, Jenny draws on her deep career experience, including her art therapy background proving that there are many paths to that lead to becoming a Spa Superhero.
