What Is Clean Beauty?
Defining clean beauty is no easy task, largely because so many users have their own preconceptions about what it means. It also doesn’t help that there are so many other similar terms, like Blue Beauty, Green Beauty, vegan beauty, and so on and so forth. There’s some common ground between them all, but they’re not exactly the same.
What clean beauty is may depend on whom you ask, but broadly speaking, clean beauty products are those that are made with products that are not known to cause harm to humans. Some extend the qualification further, requiring that for a skin care or beauty product to be considered clean, it must be cruelty-free, as well free of chemicals like parabens or phthalates that can be harmful to the environment.
In addition, some consider clean beauty only clean when it is packaged sustainably – making it not only “clean” for human use but also for the supply chain and the Earth. Clean beauty makes use of many natural products and plant-based ingredients, but some consider bio-identical synthetics to be clean beauty, too, even though they are not plant-based.
What Value Can You Expect from a Clean Beauty Subscription Box?

A clean beauty subscription box will give you an unfettered ability to discover new clean beauty brands each month. Every month, we’ll deliver a beauty box with a full-size Hero product as well as a curated “Sidekick” product, either a trial size or full size.
We hand select the products we include in our beauty subscription boxes from our broad curation of beauty industry-leading brands, including Earthwise Beauty, Khus+Khus, Arcana, Terra Viva, and countless others.
Additionally, we include only the freshest products in each subscription box. Regardless of whether we’re sending you a face oil, eye cream, shampoo, conditioner, or body wash, it’ll be freshly made, directly by our brand partners, often just for us (and thereby for you!).

Some of the greatest value that comes from our subscription service is in the savings you’ll enjoy. Every beauty box is valued at a minimum of $100 – but it could be worth more.
The cost of each box is well below that. Our subscription starts at $58.95 when you sign up for a month – that’s almost 50% off the guaranteed minimum value of the box, but you can save even more.
If you sign up for a year and pay in a lump sum of $479.40, you’ll save much more, since the guaranteed minimum value of the boxes for the year will be $1,200. That’s a substantial saving on the top clean beauty brands in the industry.
A subscription carries even more savings, though. With an active subscription to the service, you’ll also be entitled to 15% off almost all the products in our beauty store. (Some brands excluded – contact us for details.)

Every item we include in our collection of clean beauty products is subject to our Ingredient Integrity standard.
All of the products we select are made using only the highest quality ingredients, and most of them are natural, organic, and biodynamic. Some of them are even sustainably wild-harvested.
We also maintain a stringent vetting process that ensures that each and every one of the products we offer comes from companies that care not only about your health, but the health of our planet.
Clean Beauty Box FAQs
●Which types of products do you include with each subscription box??
Each month we feature a new clean beauty brand, including products such as skin, body, sun, and hair care products.
We have found that makeup products can be highly personal, so instead of including makeup with our subscription services, we offer a one-time makeup discovery service.
●When can I expect my first box?
If you order prior to the 20th of the month, we will ship your delivery the same or the next business day, after which point we will send you an email with a shipment confirmation and tracking number.
For ongoing subscriptions, we typically ship our clean beauty boxes the first week of the month, timing them so that they will arrive the second or third week of the same month.
●What are my options in terms of subscription plans?
Beauty Heroes offers 1, 3, 6, and 12-month subscriptions services. The 12-month plan offers the greatest value and opportunities for discovery and savings.
