From diet to sleep to beauty routines, balance is a daily practice. It requires commitment, consistency and care, but eventually these practices become a comfort. They are tried-and-true routines that add structure and provide balance. It is in this spirit that we’ve crafted a daily Yang Sheng skin ritual, featuring YINA. Follow as instructed, or create your own with other beauty must-haves from the Beauty Store.
DISCOVER THE YANG SHENG SKIN RITUAL YOURSELF. HERE’S HOW:
Cleanse. With 3-4 pumps of Bioadaptive Cleanser, apply to dry face and neck and massage for 1-2 minutes. Using a soft cloth, wipe off first, then splash face with warm water.
Recalibrate. While the face is still damp, generously mist skin with The Essential Mist, an adaptogenic aqueous essence that delivers antioxidants, nutrients and deep, long-lasting hydration to balance redness and inflammation. Mist generously.
Nourish. While skin is still damp, apply 2-3 drops of Nourishing Botanical Serum between palms and press into the skin gently. The micro-emulsion created by the mist combined with the oil allows for deeper penetration. Let the oil sink in, and reapply as necessary for the next step.
Gua Sha. Using the YINA Bian Gua Sha Stone, incorporate these gentle scraping techniques to stimulate circulation, reduce puffiness and achieve smoother, firmer, glowing skin.
Start in the middle of your forehead and work your way towards the temples using upward sweeping movement. Repeat 5-7 times. Then,
firmly sweep the Gua Sha stone across the cheek and eye area towards the temple, then to the hairline. Repeat 5-7 times on each side of the face. Finally, from the chin, gently sweep the Gua Sha stone along your jawline, up to the ear, then behind the earlobe, and down the neck in one stroke. Report 5 times on each side of the face.
Moisturize. Seal in the healing botanical nutrients of the Mist and Oil with a final application of Hydracloud Cream, a lightweight, intensive moisturizing treatment. Scoop a pea-size amount onto the spoon and swipe onto skin, massaging in until fully absorbed. A little goes a long way, so practice moderation.
